The one day  mindful hypnobirthing classes explore why there is a difference in women and how they birth, we look at the birthing body’s experience and perception of pain, why any apprehension and fear you have can make a difference to your birth, how to build a compassionate and supportive relationship with your midwife on the day and why your body during birth is remarkably designed to birth your baby, setting patterns that can affect you and your baby for the rest of your life.

With mindful hypnobirthing classes you’ll learn about how to take charge of your environment, wherever you chose to give birth, however you choose.  We don’t advocate which way, we teach you to choose your way, with confidence. We teach you if you are having home birth, if you are having hospital births, if you are having normal drug free births or if you are having a caesarean.

It can be daunting to prepare for the birth as a partner. However many classes you take you may still not know what to expect. Or perhaps you think you do based on what’s on TV of in films, or what you’ve heard from friends.

The truth is even a partners preconceptions of birth can influence how a woman births, it can change the type of support and also the direction a birth takes. What you see on TV isn’t necessarily the full story and can worsen fears or misinform. Understanding what your own fears and worries are, and why they can impact your partners labour, and learning what you can do about it, is some of the best preparation you can do.

This mindful hypnobirthing class has been designed with the couple in mind and really benefits the birth partner, whether it’s your mother, a friend, partner, your husband or your wife.  We strongly believe that when the birthing partner feels comfortable, knows what to expect and how they can help during the birth it makes and immense difference to the mother and baby.

Time and time again we are told by couples after our mindful hypnobirthing class how valuable it has been for them and that is really has benefitted them both. Most will admit to being skeptics about hypnobirthing before coming on board, but change their view completely after the class when they realise the benefits are for them both not just the mother. Our Mindful Hypnobirthing classes are taught by a small and experienced group of practitioners, who are either midwives, psychologists, hypnotherapists, NCT antenatal teachers or Hypnobirthing Mums.  They have all been trained personally by Sophie Fletcher, author of Mindful Hypnobirthing.

Your Class will be Small

We try to keep our classes small, so you will rarely find that a class has over 5 couples.  This helps us to hold a nurturing space where you can relax and feel comfortable. Part of hypnobirthing is being able to ask questions freely and to process any thoughts you have, and it’s much easier to do that in smaller group.
